Dr. Santiago’s journey into the field of Plastic Surgery was sparked during medical school, inspired by a professor’s compelling stories of life-changing transformations achieved through surgical expertise.

After earning his medical degree from the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, Dr. Santiago served in the US Navy, where he specialized in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. This rigorous training equipped him with the skills to reconstruct some of the most severe and complex injuries sustained by Sailors, Marines, and Navy SEALS.

Driven by a desire to refine his surgical expertise, Dr. Santiago pursued advanced fellowship training at the renowned Johns Hopkins Department of Plastic Surgery. There, he operated on patients from around the globe, further honing his skills in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery.

Recognized for his innovative techniques, Dr. Santiago has been a sought-after speaker at both national and international plastic surgery conferences. His contributions to the field are well-documented, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in leading Plastic Surgery literature.
